We are writing this post waiting for our boat to Phi Phi islands.
It has been a day since we arrived at Bangkok International airport and took a free shuttle to the domestic airport, Don Mueang from where we caught the flight to Phuket!
We chose the Visa on Arrival option as our trip duration was less than 15 days. After we arrived at Swarnabhumi Airport, we paid 100 baht for the automatically filled application form with printed photo.
We then took the fast track VISA lane. Here we paid 1200 baht each instead of 1000 but its worth it as u skip a long queue!
Post visa, the tourist sim card is a must buy.
The internet plans are super cheap (299 baht for 7 days unlimited internet).
That is how we are blogging right now from the middle of sea.
After flying the roller coaster rides of Ryanair last year in Europe we expected similar experience in probably the lowest priced airlines in the world – Air Asia. But it was not that bad.
From Don Mueang, we took the mini bus for 180 baht per person to reach our hotel, Anchalee Inn in Patong Beach.
The cab charges can go upto 900-1000 bahts so lookout for the minibus counters.
After a hot shower and some yummy pizza at the hotel, we walked towards Bangla road.
The market was full of fantastic sea food.
Hard Rock Cafe in the middle of the town got us really excited.
In the market, we booked our 2 way ride to phi phi and back for 1000 baht and headed straight to the bed for a long nights sleep.
Now we are enjoying our instant noodles on the boats deck.
Here is what we did in Phi Phi islands.
Before we got to Phi Phi, we stuffed ourselves with Thai food.
Also, since it was raining, we did not let the Indian tradition pass.
