A lazy sunday Mediterranean brunch is a dream.
We visited Cafe Mezzuna on our little weekend trip to Pune. Absolutely delighted with the service and ambiance.
They have 2 brunch types, without alcohol at Rs 675 + taxes and with alcohol at Rs. 975 + taxes. We tried the one with alcohol.
The place has an outdoor seating which is apt for evenings.
Inside, they have fun decor, bean bags, bookshelf full of interesting Mediterranean cuisine books and a huge TV on the wall.
We started with a round of fresh Sangria and watermelon basil crush.
Got a book on Paella and we knew our brunch was going to be as lazy as it gets.
Our starters looked yum.
I loved the Parsley Capers Grilled Fish. Soft with fresh flavors and a great deal of juicy flesh.
Also, there was Fennel Mustard prawn and Kafta Spiced chicken.
Pesto chicken pizza was a part of the starters.
Thin crust and crunchy chew.
We gobbled a plateful of Romesco Grilled cottage cheese and Lemon Paprika potato wedges too.
We are not done yet.
There was also Chilly Coriander Grilled Mushroom.
But, we got dips on Corn Peppers Jalapeno pizzas.
While you are here, take home homemade fig and honey grain mustard spread along with the starters.
This bottle is full of delicious mysterious yum ingredients.
Salads were next in line.
Waiting to be gorged upon.
We chose to make our own salad with a combination of grilled veggies, curried potato, romanian lettuce, cheese and a variety of dressing at the salad bar.
Small portions of everything is the best way to get through to entire brunch.
The brunch got intriguing with Malfatti and Rosemary & Corn Pilaf.
Not done yet.
You read it right.
We stuffed ourselves like crazy.
Not feeling guilty. So here goes some more.
We went to the outdoor section and got our pasta and burger.
Barbecue mashy pea and beet patty.
And then, with the very little space we had in our tummies, we could not resist the desserts.
Banana Caramel Tart
Chocolate mud pie
and Yogurt sundaes with berries.
We left happy high and got some more lazy on our way back.
