We have been thoroughly enjoying chalking a list of the diners and delis of Bombay.
Each one of them has a style of its own.
On our way to Jamjar Diner, we hopscotched a number of new joints. The suburbs are getting fancier by the day.
Breaks can get you lazy, the contagious kind of lazy.
And after a whole day of lazying around, we were up for a date night.
Jamjar Diner has recasted a bunglow into a restaurant.
With little fairy windows that make you want to peep in.
And inside is a cave full of books, antics and an untainted arrangement for a date.
We walked to the open terrace on level one.
But quickly moved inside. Bombay is being such a B*tch at this time of the year, air conditioning feels like room temperature.
Plus the dim lighting on a scribbled table scored brownie points for a date.
And so does the JamJar Jumbo Rum Punch Bowl.
A complete whale of a pump me up drink.
What goes into the bowl?
White rum, Malibu, Orange & Pineapple juice, fresh fruits & Grenadine syrup.
Generously pour into the jars.
Because it makes a total of 8 jars. A-OK for both of us and whole of time at Jamjar.
The punch bowl strolled along with Chicken skewers and honey mustard dip.
We might have enjoyed the dip more than the skewers. Finger licking good!
And the star performer of the night, Paprika fries. Now, fries are pretty basic, but these were the best we have had till date.
Could not resist a second helping.
Again, the dip is even better.
All the way through the evening, the tangerine and board games kept our plate full.
Our date night overlapped with game night.
Twiddling with phones, on and off.
Jamjar Diner’s very own emcee glows ~ the jukebox.
The next time we go there, we want to try the Jargharitas and main course.
