Traveling has its downsides too. When you have overworked your feet a bit too much.
We were so exhausted walking for what felt like more than a century, we decided to take a whole day off to laze around.
And only emerged in the evening when the sun went down.
Having delayed shopping for most of the trip, we could hardly resist a peep into the Ladies market in Hongkong. Packed with over a 100 stalls, owners of which will completely ignore you unless you buy something.
Bundled into one loooong street, its very close to Mongkok station. The ladies market is well versed in English and ready for negotiations.
This place is swarmed with pick me up goodies.
Also, overpeopled. But don’t let that get into the way.
But a fantastic line of display, all of little signage animal danglers, funky speakers, quirky accessories and kooky takeaways.
We picked one of these wallets.
And several of these luggage tags.
Though there was no dearth of fascination, we were most fascinated with LEGO building blocks.
These are happy boxes of pendrives, that actually work!
Rubbernecking at every stall, the Indian dream catchers had reached Hongkong before us.
Just some days back, an Indian magazine was overloaded with these new entrants.
Well balanced off with Chinese Kimonos.
And western influence.
Even Greek accessories.
Ladies market is just a term afterall!
Because no man can take their eyes off these Avenger powerbanks.
And no kid can do without a bag of minion toys. M-I-N-I-O-N toys!
Drawing the world traveler back to Hongkong artefacts…
…the market is quiet awesome.
Our day was fuelled with Indian pakodas and a tall blue girl at a nearby Indian restaurant by the end of it.
