If there was one place that we really wanted to bring in the new years, it was Prague.
A great combination of romance, nightlife & breathtaking views.
And so we drove to Prague on the last day of the year. Cruising through the morning dark highway with some homemade chilli garlic sandwiches packed up.
And arriving in Hotel Belvedere at the time of check-in.
But before we knew it, we were out.
On a vintage car tour across the city.
with Prague Old Car.
That came to pick us at the hotel.
Inside was a heater, blankets, a friendly guide, thermas and everything to beat the negative temperatures.
All wrapped up, we headed straight into the town.
Zooming through the streets of the old town.
And admiring the buildings that changed colors faster than a kiss.
The architecture and intricacies of old structures remains untouched. Prague is covered in old gold.
In a moment you could be intensely obsessed with the structures and in another, just admire the nature. While the backdrop allows the Charles bridge to glow in all its glory.
In some parts, the christmas markets were still on.
And looking at all the people drink and laugh, we decided to enjoy a warm cup of honey tea.
without resisting to break into a dance on the lovely cobbled streets.
We had stopped by the Prague castle, from where a lovely city view waits.
It is perhaps the largest ancient castle in the world.
Our guide told us that these ancient lamps used to be all over the town when established.
And now of only 16 are left in the whole of Prague.
In a good 3 hour ride, we felt a lot more familiar with the city and knew exactly what we were going to do over the long weekend.
The Prague old car is a highly recommended tour.
Afterall, royalty never ages.
