We might be city bred & born but a little downtime in countryside hurt no one.
Infact a countryside holiday should be referred to as the vacation cleanse.
Especially when its Broek in Waterland, a tiny village with population of just 2000 people. We call it Netherland’s backyard.
Strokes of color and perfectly placed trinkets in the lanes of Broek are as if the town came alive from a painting.
We parked ourselves by the river, letting the afternoon pass by in the company of ducks.
Dashing into the river all afternoon.
Which we could not because it was still winters.
Everything about Broeck was fantasy.
Having a boat for going around instead of a car is not just out of fiction then.
Even as big as this one.
Its only fair to hop on.
After spending all the time at Broeck, we walked towards Edam, another little country village in Netherlands.
All of them, just a stone throw away from Amsterdam.
Another lazy, almost still & bewitching town.
Our next stop was going to be Volendam & Marken. These cluster of town on the outskirts of Amsterdam complete Netherlands.
After days of wandering around in Amsterdam, unwinding with a little picnic here is quite foolproof.
